Risks

Trading crypto is risky. Read this before your first trade and before you pay for a seat in a room. It is part of the terms of service.
You can lose all of your money
Crypto prices can fall fast and to zero. Only trade money you can afford to lose completely. Nobody, including Rekt, can return money you lose on a trade.
Margin and liquidation
Perps let you open a position larger than the money you put up. A small move against you can wipe out your margin, and the exchange will then close your position automatically, which is called liquidation. You can lose your whole margin in minutes, and funding payments can cost you money while a position is open.
Smart contracts and software can fail
Tokens, trades and transfers run on smart contracts and other software written by third parties. A bug, a hack or a failed upgrade can freeze or destroy funds, and there may be no way to get them back.
Moving money between networks
Some trades move your money from one blockchain network to another, which is called bridging. A transfer can be delayed, fail partway or be lost if a network or a routing service fails. Network fees and prices can change while a transfer is under way.
Stablecoins can lose their value
USDC and other stablecoins aim to stay worth one dollar but can lose that link, briefly or for good, if the issuer fails, reserves fall short or a regulator acts. They are not bank deposits and are not covered by deposit insurance.
$REKT can go to zero
$REKT has no guaranteed value. The buying and burning that Rekt does with its fees is not a promise about the price, and the price can fall to zero. A rebate paid in $REKT can be worth less by the time you sell it.
Rooms are not advice
Rooms are run by other users who are not regulated by us, and we do not check their calls. Nothing in a room is advice suited to you. A room owner may hold, buy or sell the coins they talk about.
Past performance means nothing
A trader’s record shows what happened before. It tells you nothing about what will happen next, and traders with great records lose money too.
Your wallet, your responsibility
Your wallet is self-custodial. If you lose access to your sign-in or send funds to the wrong place, Rekt cannot recover them, and no transaction can be reversed once sent.
Rules can change
Laws on crypto are changing in many countries. A change can stop Rekt or a service it relies on from offering a feature where you live, sometimes at short notice.
